The bane of the lawyer’s life - being blamed by salespeople who JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND. Most likely it isn’t stuck with legal. It’s stuck with someone else (often credit) but legal just happens to be running the docs. When your industry is the negotiation of master trading documents, there typically aren’t any specifically legal issues: They were all ironed when the template was hammered out in 1987. It will be trading calls, or credit calls, or risk calls.
