The financial services equivalent of one of those bossy friends who is always trying to set you up on dates. Their virtue is their network of connections, none of whom will like them very much because they keep getting sent on awkward blind dates. This is the sort of thing you would expect the great disintermediation should have long since nixed as a profitable line of work, just as it has in real dating, but evidently not yet.

If you want to get into this game, it helps to be attractive, run hip restaurants and hang out with guys who own racehorses.
