{{g}}In the pages of the {{JCLR}} there is no more popular apocryphal judge than {{cocklecarrot}} though, being his nemesis, our leading silk, the elderly, flatulent {{jerrold}} might feel differently about that. {{cmr}} began his legal career in the ''Beachcomber'' column in the Daily Express, and comes to us via many years of casual work at the offices of ''Private Eye'', where he still makes the odd appearance.
