A unique transaction identifier, or UTI, is a unique code identifying a single transaction, as required by Article 26 of MiFIR and all kinds of other regulatory regimes.

It is a dreary thing, but you may still find yourself exchanging awkward blushes with the opposite sex (or any non binary intermediate identifications for that matter) should you find yourself asking, innocently, “I say, have you got a UTI? No? Do you want one?”
