A fond commun de placement (usually italicised; to those in the know, an FCP) is a form of investment fund native to francophone places like France and Luxembourg. It has no independent legal status but exists as a set of defined relationships between investors, managers and the custodian. This makes the job of getting a netting opinion a bit of a mission. Similar to an Irish common contractual fund or a Dutch FGR.
