A magic circle law firm headquartered in Silk Street London, once upon a time the red-light district of old London town — you’ll never guess what that alley used to be called in the olden days. In more recently times Linklaters was known for its unintentionally humorous off-kilter wrung-out wet rag logo, and its invention of limited recourse techniques central to repackaging. They also wrote the 2011 Equity Derivatives Definitions in FpML which would be rather like having designed and piloted the Hindenburg, had the Hindenburg not managed to get off the ground in the first place.

The corporate branding never improved and they use a rather ghastly fuchsia font now. Nice folks though.
