We refer keen readers to the JC’s many impassioned treatises on the nature of cash. [[Cash]] is not, in the twilight, purblind world the [[JC]] inhabits, “[[property]]”  at all in the sense it can be held, but not owned; she who holds it can therefore utter it free of any competing claim in the world. But rather a token of value that leaves behind it only [[indebtedness]].
