On an industry call, the twenty minutes the convenor allows after saying “let’s give it a couple of minutes for folks to join” in the desperate hope that someone will join a call convened for the sainted purpose of agreeing an industry response to a proposed regulatory initiative no-one understands, believes will ever happen, or cares about. Followed immediately by the roll call in which the convenors darkest fears can be laid bare before the world.
