Gaslighting
/ˈgæslaɪtɪŋ/ (pres part.)

Psychological manipulation designed to make one doubt one’s own grip on reality. According to www.insider.com “gaslighters may also convince their victims that they’re mentally unfit or too sensitive.”

Modern multinationals are masters at gaslighting their own employees and investors. They do this by, for example, flooding communication channels with vague moralising about mental health — is the reason I find this place appalling and hypocritical because it is, or because I am psychiatrically unwell? Oh! yes, I do need mental health support!.
