Commodity Exchange Act of 1936

the Commodity Exchange Act of the US regulates commodities contracts entered into by US Counterparties. Among other things it creates the concept of Eligible Contract Participants, which are parties in respect of which commodities contracts are enforceable under the jurisdiction of US Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
