Fonts

  • Number: Two, maximum three.
  • Serif: Consider pairing, say a sans serif for headings with a serif for body.
  • Size: Use size to denote hierarchy. Careful in more formal documents.

Alignment

  • Be consistent. If you are aligned left, make everything align left. Don’t overdo centre alignment.
  • Left alignment best; don’t use right alignment for body text.

Whitespace

It can be useful to draw attention to things.
