We're not big on awards, but we have our heroes, none of whom wear capes.

Pau Taylor

Such as Paul Taylor, of Oxfordshire, awards HOTJC second class for embarking on a charity moped tour of rude UK place names in memory of departed friend Alexis Leventis, thereby combining two things very dear to the Jolly Contrarian ethos: utterly puerile humour and absurd voyages of discovery. Last heard of in Twatt, in the Orkney Islands.
