There’s something poetic — melancholic — about the blind-copied farewell email from a colleague whose name you don’t recognise.
- I think most of you know by now that today is my final day here[1]. I’m not a big fan of farewells so I won’t dwell too much on the past months — but I wanted to say thank you for each one of you for your support you have given me during my time here! If you are on LinkedIn I'll look you up to connect. You can also keep in touch via gmail. Wishing you all the very best both professionally and personally!
A faintly passive aggressive thanks for nothing? Was I meant to know? Should I have paid more attention? Is it buried sarcasm that powers your confession that you’re so blessed to have worked with such a wonderful and talented group of professionals, a lack of irony, or no sense of perspective?
