Holder of record. (noun)
1. (In relation to running, jumping, pies etc.) One who has run faster, jumped higher, or eaten more pies than anyone else in the world.
2. (In relation to financial instruments in registered form): The person entered on the register as the legal owner of a registered security. A shareholder. Gets interesting[1] when derivatives, trusts, custody arrangements come into play.
