There is no Section 5(e) in the 1992 ISDA, so you have to conclude that someone, in the last decade of the Millennium, has some kind of come-to-Jesus moment about what happens if there is a {{{{{1}}}|Force Majeure}} or {{{{{1}}}|illegality}} that affects only certain of a party’s branches but not the whole thing, and so lobbied to include this wording.
