I mean how brilliant is that. How can you not be totally swept away by the very name of this thing. Who is just DYING to know what the Tannhäuser Gate is? It's like a gateway to a wormhole in the space-time continuum or something. But not just a portal to the multiverse — its one with some kind of mythical, Wagnerian dimension to it - where there are twilights of gods and so on.
