An occasional sight-gag in these pages, referencing George Plantagenet, 1st Duke of Clarence who, having been convicted of treason against his brother, Edward IV, was executed, allegedly by being drowned in a butt of Malmsey wine, though by the bard’s telling of it, this was all at the hands of Richard III.

It would make a great play.
