A licence granting possession over, and exclusive use of, a physical, corporeal thing, to the exclusion of anyone else. One can have possession over a chattel. One cannot (so easily) have exclusive possession over, for example, judgement day. Whether a licence for love is exclusive or not is a matter of some conjecture amongst legal scholars[1].
