Neil Postman (March 8, 1931 – October 5, 2003) was an American author, educator, media theorist, cultural critic and Pink Floyd bass-player inspirer and author of Amusing ourselves to Death (1986) and Technopoly: The Surrender of Culture to Technology (1992) among others, which JC is now fiendishly hoovering up because Technopoly, in particular, is AMAZING.
