The official currency of The Land of the Long White Sheeple. Also known as the kiwi, the NZD was briefly the centre of forex trading world when Rob Muldoon refused to devalue it following his snap election defeat in 1984, and in more recent years, with its bafflingly high base interest rate, it was a popular target for the carry trade.
