The actual deal, be it the purchase or sale of a financial instrument; a swap, stock loan, ETD. While a transaction could be a house purchase, or an M&A deal, we know nothing and care little about those, so on this wiki we are largely concerned here with global markets transactions, ie cash trades in securities and FX and those executed under a master trading agreement, and confirmed by a confirmation.
