Notable omissions are the peripheral, non-[[EU]], [[EEA]] countries ([[Norway]], [[Iceland]] and [[Liechtenstein]])  <small><small>and soon to be the [[United Kingdom]]</small></small>, a fairly random patchwork of countries in the Balkans: ([[Romania]], [[Bulgaria]] and [[Croatia]] are in; [[Serbia]], [[Montenegro]] and [[Albania]] are out), and of course who could forget dear, stubborn, neutral old [[Switzerland]], which isn't even a part of the [[EEA]], but ''is'' a member of [[EFTA]] and the [[single market]].
