A signwriter, up a ladder, was putting the final touches on his latest commission.

At the foot of the ladder, an attorney of great repute appeared. “I say”, said he, “I think you've left too much of a gap”. “A gap?” replied the signwriter, indignantly. “Where?”
“Two gaps, in fact,” continued the lawyer.
“Where?” said the signwriter, anxiously.
“Between “Coach” and “and” and “and” and “Horses””, said the lawyer, smiling beatifically.
