Raptors were curious reptilio hybrid espievies conceived from the reptilio-hybrid brow of Andrew Fastow’s superbrain. Enron established raptors to shield itself from mark-to-market losses in its growing equity investment business.

Yet, JUST LIKE IN THE FILM[1] the raptors turned on their creator, ate the fat guy and laid waste to the whole fantasy island, leaving only Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern to escape the smoking wreckage.

They give the harmless espievie a bad name and structured finance lawyers are still pretty angry about them, nearly twenty years later.
