A fast clipper out of Southhampton which foundered in the Caribbean in the hurricane season of 1891 and whose sad fate would almost certainly have passed into history had she not been carrying the great Robert Maguire Ugland, the founding father of high finance, the Maple brothers and A. J. N. Calder, who were to become mainstays of the main industries in Cayman Islands, high finance and rum cake.
