What portion of the great, massed oeuvre or executed legal verbiage owes its place in that canon to the failure or refusal of one party to understand what the legal contract is trying to do, or the basic principles of the commercial law behind it, and the other party not wishing to die in a ditch about to get the concept across?
How much of our discourse, that is to say, is basically conditioned by ignorance?
