Well it is not canonical ISDA, so we use the same expression in each of the CSA editions. But to be clear, this is a JC neologism.

A term the JC made up to substitute for “the Delivery Amount and/or Return Amount, with or without (VM) or (IM), as the case may for the time being be”.

Don’t thank the JC: thank ISDA’s crack drafting squad™ for giving the JC the opportunity to come up with such a wonderful affordance, to make the world a better place.
